Salesboard is a mobile sales app for the field. It can offer a fitting quote to a potential customer (or ‘lead’) by calculating the best deals based on their situation. For agents to be successful, usability as well as branding are important to be trustworthy and efficient. Mostly Energy retailers make use of an calculation tool within a custom ‘addon’ – tailored to their needs. In general they consist of a form – product overviews and details with USPs.
The challenge was to fit all the form’s information into a coherent design with elements that are grouped
in a logical order – that has a pleasant look and feel, yet remains cost-effective to develop. I had to explore various layouts to balance the content with the brand identity, without loosing legibility or visual appeal.
For each addon, my role was that of an Information Architect, Interaction Designer and Visual Designer. I was involved in meetings with the end-client – defended my design decisions and worked closely together with the developer by providing the necessary assets and advice on the intended look and feel.
